We need your help pulling weeds, removing scotch broom, and laying bark to improve the trail. There’s plenty to do and we need your help!

We ask that you arrive by 9:00 a.m. and commit to the full time. Please wear long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, and bring garden or work gloves. Also, bring a sack lunch and plenty of water. If you have an extra shovel or two, bring them (label them so you are sure to get them back).

Starbucks is donating coffee. Be prepared to get dirty and have fun! If enough people are interested, we will provide tours to see the nesting herons after the work is completed.

For directions, click "Directions to Black River" in the left column. Signs will be posted showing where to park. For those familiar with Black River, the work will be conducted in the southwest section of the site.
